  1. Sift together the dry ingredients.
  2. Cut the butter into small cubes.
  3. Cut the butter and the vegetable shotening into the dough, working quickly so the butter stays cold.
  4. Add the vinegar and water.
  5. Mix until the dough starts to stick together, then form a slightly-flattened disc.
  6. Chill the dough for at least 30 minutes or until ready to bake
