  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  3. Cream together the butter and eggs.
  4. Mix in the vanilla extract and almond extract.
  5. Sift flour and baking powder into separate bowl.
  6. Mix sifted dry ingredients into wet, one scoop at a time.
  7. Stir in the chocolate chips and pecans.
  8. Divide the dough into three equal parts.
  9. Form into 0.5-inch tall rectangles on baking sheet.
  10. Bake for 20 minutes.
  11. Remove from oven and let cool for 5 minutes.
  12. Cut each rectangle into 1-inch slices at a slight angle
  13. Place each slice on it's side onto the baking sheet.
  14. Bake for 12 more minutes.
